Catherine Box
With over 14 years working in secondary and post-secondary college and financial aid counseling, Ms. Box brings a wide variety of expertise to our community. She began her career as a Senior Admissions Counselor at Sewanee: The University of the South. While there, she both recruited incoming students and worked with undergraduates once they arrived as a Director of the Senior Interviewer program. She then moved to Millsaps College in Mississippi, where she served as Assistant Dean and then the Director of Admissions.
While in Mississippi, Catherine also worked for the Woodward-Hines Foundation Get2College program where she assisted students with essay writing, resume building, financial aid and scholarship applications, along with other parts of the college process. It was during this time that Catherine discovered a love of working with high school students in a supportive and fulfilling college search. With that in mind, she transitioned to working at secondary schools – most recently serving as Associate Director of College Counseling at the George School, where she used her higher-ed experience to personalize her approach to helping each student find and gain admittance to their right-fit college.
As a graduate of an independent all-girls school, Catherine also brings a deep personal commitment to Baldwin’s mission.
